-Liaison called the BUSD before sending out the invitation letters. -Liaison sent out the invitation letters to BUSD about 2 weeks before the Carnival (BUSD official's name list was provided by Principal ) -Liaison sent out the invitation letters to Sierramont neighborhood ( in 10/95, neighborhood invitation letters were given to Dean of Activity for hand delivery) -Liaison called the local Chinese newspapers & fax the Carnival information to the reporters about 10 days before the Carnival. (Carnival information was provided by Dean of Activity)

1. When calling the newspaper for the press release, in case you did not find Mr. Tony Chang or Ms. Li Chin-Lan, it's better to ask the reporter who answered the phone to help the press release (instead of waiting for Tony or Ms. Li to call you back.) Also, you might find it's easier to reach the reporters in the afternoon or evening during their normal working hours. 2. When faxing any information to the news, do use large font and write names and phone numbers VERY legibly. Otherwise, the names and numbers will most likely be misprinted. |
