Description |
1. In March, form a nomination committee with members drawn from Board members, teachers and parents. Secretary is the chairperson of the Committee. 2. Committee talks about how to efficiently recruit Board member candidates. When appropriate, assign Committee members to contact each candidate. 3. Secretary submits the candidate list in BCS's Board meeting in May. 4. Elect new Board members in the General Meeting in June. |

1. Start the work earlier to avoid the last minute rush. 2. Sometimes a Board member's willingness to serve the Board depends upon who the Principal is, hence identify the Principal candidate first. 3. Use the name list generated from the student registration form and from New Parent Orientation in the Fall semester to look for candidates. 4. Looking for parents to serve as Board members has become a very challenging job. Secretary needs to get a lot of help from other Nomination Committee members. 5. When considering a position, if the Committee will have to nominate one from several candidates, make sure ballot casting are confidential among the Committee members. |
