In recognition that parental and staff support is a major source of strength for public education in the Berryessa Union School District (BUSD), the Board of Trustees has established the Berryessa District Advisory Council (BDAC). The BDAC makes recommendations and advisory to the Superintendent. The Council is also responsible for collecting and analyzing data, studying district procedures, reviewing policy and positions papers, and in consultation with the Superintendent, making recommendations to the Board of Trustees. The voting membership of the BDAC is as follows:
Berryessa Chinese School (BCS) is one of the voting members of BDAC under the community members at large category. BCS was also one of the 14 members of the search committee to interview and vote for the newly filled BUSD Superintendent position. Over the course of 20 years, BCS has establish itself in the community to be an recognized force in public education. We have a vote and a voice to make recommendations to the BUSD policies. This is in part largely the fruit from the tireless effort and contributions of the past BCS Board of Directors. We here salute the founding fathers of BCS and those that have made a difference for BCS and the Chinese community as a contribution member of the local community. |
