In 1995, BCS faced with a dilemma. The School had over 100 student applications that could not possibly be filled due to the lack of space. The School was already stretched thin with existing class rooms and could not accomodate the needs from the community. The BCS Board of Directors decided to solicit and to lead those concern parents to start a "sister" campus in Milpitas. With the help from the BCS Board, the group quickly put together a proposal to the City of Milpitas, initiated the process and got the approval. The new school started in September 1995 with a full Board of Directors and with three kindergarten classes, one Mandarin, one Cantonese and one combined. This started a sister school relationship between Berryessa Chinese School and Milpitas Community Chinese School. |
