Berryessa Chinese School always place the safety of our children on the highest priority. We have set up a parent campus patrol every Saturday morning during the language class time (8:50 am to 11:40 am) and during the cultural class time (11:30 am to 12:30 am). These parent patrols provide traffic control during drop off and pickup time. They also patrol the campus to ensure the safety of our children. Two years ago, there was an incident at the Morrill campus. A number of rowdy neighboring kids caused some disturbance during class time on one Saturday. Even though police was summoned and it was merely a disturbance, BCS decided that we should take safety seriously. We hired off-duty San Jose police officers to double up as campus security for us. We also increased the parent patrol team from two parents to four parents per campus. They are all equipped with two-way radios in constant contact with the campus office and the police officer. Despite the expense, it has added a sense of security and comfort to all of our parents. Here are some of the pictures of the patrol team: |
