If I Were A Rich Man

Everybody had a dream ... or more than one dream. In America, people dreamed to own their own homes; while others dreamed to be millionaires. Some wanted both plus more ....

I realized my millionaire dream shortly after I landed in Indonesia. It wasn't something I had planned for but the luck went to almost every passenger arriving Indonesia, in a very simple way ....

See ... the money exchange rate is approximately 1 U.S. dollar to 10,000 Indonesia Rupiah. So with US$100, I became a millionaire in a little over 3 minutes while standing in front of the airport money exchange counter.

It was a special moment to hold this large sum of money so I had to capture my 'wealth' in a photo to brag about it. For those who would like to live this no risk/low risk/no frill dream, just bring your US$100 bill to realize the truth. Oh yeah, bring a couple of dollars more just in case there was any unforseen exchange rate fluctuations which could burst your dream bubbles.

Hmmm ... how would I spend that money .... da, da, da, da, de, doh .... a hamburger was 30,000 Rupiah; a hotel buffet breakfast was 160,000 Rupiah and a taxi ride to town was 250,000 Rupiah .... hmmm .... this was what I had left ....
